All Zinc shortcuts go to zeevee webpage, not to zinc.
When I launch zinc all that happens is the zeevee homepage loads, no zinc.
Using windows 2000 w/ Radeon 9200
Same problem:
- Insallation tells me my graphics card doesn't support OpenGL. This is not true, I have a terrific video card (ATI Radeon HD 3800) with dual 24" displays (I tried disabling one of the displays; no effect). I have the latest drivers and am positive that OpenGL works.
- After installation, Zinc just launches Firefox (it's called "Zinc" but it is otherwise exactly like Firefox).
- Other info: running Vista Home Premium SP1 32 bit, Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4GHz, 2gb ram.
- I tried running Zinc, as well as the Zinc installer, in compatibility mode for WinXP SP2; no effect.
- Note - within Firefox there is no Zinc button. This applies to both the FF extension and the standalone app.
- Also tried switching to 16-bit color mode. No effect.
Pretty disappointing. From my point of view, Zinc is just firefox, LOL.
Hi AK2,
Please follow the directions at http://zeevee.com/forums/zinc/using/reporting-problems and send us the results. Hopefully the logs will tell us what's going on.
I have this same problem, however, i am running windows 7.
The install tells me my video card does not support OpenGL, which i do.
I am using a Radon 4350 with CrossfireX. (perhapse this is the problem)
I will report the problem as suggested more fully at the given link.
P.S.
Does Zinc run in windows 7 32bit?
Zinc runs on windows7 32- or 64-bit.
Downloaded newest Zinc build (noticed you updated today). Zinc now says nothing about about openGL, and when launched loads IE 8 with a blank page.
Compatability mode in XP SP3 or vista SP2 is no help.
Something is clearly the matter and I am not alone.
I can't launch zinc. I am validated, but help people at zeevee, told me to look for a zinc_latest.exe file to get going, but I cannot find it anywhere. My Zinc shortcut is just an e-mail page.
Any thoughts on what to do next, or just give up?

Are you using the standalone app or the extensions? Look for the zinc icon to the right of the address or search bar.
