I really like Zinc. It allows me to use my remote to select alternate apps like Hulu Desktop and Boxee. I have a few suggestions:

1) Allow me to specify a startup location. For example I would like to start up in either Favorites (or Applications (if you don't implement 2 below)).

2) Allow me to add [links to] my applications to the Favorites folder same as the RSS feeds. That way I can make Favorites my primary Zinc location.

3) Allow me to remove the default applications in the Applications folder. I don't have MCE on my XT installation so that choice is a waste - it just launches a browser window to Microsoft. Likewise I don;t have (and hate) iTunes. Kill that choice. Why aren't the default applications in the setup application list so I can remove them?

Basically I want to set up my favorites folder just so with a few of my favorite Zinc RSS links and applications and begin there when I autostart the program on my HTPC.

i would have to agree with dcoupe on this one.
Although i really like Zinc myself i believe that there should be a choice to remove the default applications.

I am currently in development of building a Home and gaming all-in-one PC console and i plan to use
Zinc as one of my programs as a video network programs as well. almost all of the default apps would be a waste of space and a complete eyesore because i do not plan to use them at any time.

Please take this into consideration as i am greatly interested in this program and its future development.

THANKS!!!
