My media center Firefox
Hey
Not sure if this is the right section in the forums
I really like zinc! Its great :) However the zinc desktop player is quiet ugly :(. So I have created my own version using Firefox portable. I have tweaked the about:config page and added multiple add-ons. I have also included KMplayer. If you add kmplayer to your applications in zinc then you have easy access to a dvd player. You can close zinc or KMP at any time from any where with the ESC key. ;)
Tell me what you think!
Thanks for your reply.
This is what I have done:
*******Add-ons********
Full Fullscreen (Removes the full screen bar on top)
keyconfig (Lets you use the esc key to close the program
Tiny Menu (Condeses the menu bar to "Menu")
Gradient iBlue (The theme)
*******About:Config****
Made new tab screen black so when you open up the program it wont be white
Made firefox open full screen on its own.
I know I did more but I can't remember lol
You can still press F11 and right click on the top bar and click "customize". From there you can add the back button and rss feed as well. I think we should be able to make a hotkey to add to RSS feed with Keyconfig. Do you have any ideas on that?
With the back button problem try using alt-left arrow. Or else you would have to add the back button to the top tool bar. You can also change the settings of full fullscreen and tell the full screen bar to show again if you would like ;)
How did you change the tab screen to black?
about:config
broswer.display.background_color
Edit the string and put in the color's number ;)

I just tried it briefly here are my though and q's:
Can you explain what add-ons you added and what functionality features they provide?
I really like the theme. One think I like is that status indicator on the bottom left corner.
I like the way the bottom of the toolbar is now completely hidden. The side-effect is that now there is no way
to access the toolbar which is needed to add RSS feeds and also some websites do not respond to the backspace
key so you need access to the toolbar to press the back button.
