Hi,
I'm having trouble on one of my computers. It's an HP Pavilion dv2000 with Intel graphics card 945GM. The screen setting is for HD via component output.
Zinc starts and works fine. I can play videos without problem from lots of sources.
But, when I try to play a video from ABC, it seems to crash every time, with crash errors referencing the moveplayer.
Anyone else have this problem?
Thanks!
Avi

Try disabling or deleting whatever move extension you have now. Then go straight to ABC and let it load it's version of the move player. What I have seen in the past is one provider will release a version of the move player with a new version number, and that prevents another provider from installing their version of the player because it appears to be older.

Jeremy,

Thanks for your reply. My moveplayer works fine in IE and Firefox at the ABC web site, but I tried your suggestion.

I could not uninstall it in Firefox but was able to disable it. When I then went in Firefox to ABC to play something, it had me install moveplayer again. I then started up Zinc to try it again, and ABC shows still crashed Zinc.

Other thoughts? I don't understand why my PC has no trouble playing abc.com shows directly, and why everything other than ABC shows work fine in Zinc!

Thanks so much!

Avi

How about installing the Move Player directly from the Move Networks website?

Have you tried using the stand-alone version of Zinc?

I just wanted to belatedly update this. Zinc and VNC server seemed to be having trouble, and at one point, my hard drive got fried (unsure if this was coincidence or what the cause was). After replacing the hard drive, reinstalling Windows, etc., Zinc is working fine.
