Hulu videos not playing all the way through
I have been having a problem with Hulu lately. I am watching a video for a while when all of a sudden a black screen appears with a message about the video not being available and clearing my video cache. This has happened the last two times I have accessed Hulu through Zinc, while watching an episode of Better off Ted, and an episode of Fringe. I exited Zinc and watched the episodes on Hulu without any problems. Any idea what is going on?

I just downloaded Zinc a week ago along side of three or four other Tv and media centers. I preferred Zinc over the others and am glad to hear that you are working on this problem. I'm also glad I can stop trying to fix the problem which is not on the user's (my) end.
Thankyou for a great program.
Hi Cadis,
Has this stopped happening? We saw this problem in cases where Hulu let you watch an ad before the program instead of watching ads in the middle of the program. For instance, if you used "H&R Deduct-o-vision", for 24 hours you would not see any ads, but Zinc would show you an error after 10 minutes or so.
Since it's been over 24 hours, you should be back to seeing regular ads, and the problem should be gone.
We are looking for test cases associated with this problem. Specifically the advertising experience. Other there other ad experiences besides the H&R Block deduct-o-vision that users have encountered this problem with? Please let us know the ad experience and the show watched when you have had problems.
The same thing has been happening with me. Please let me know when it is fixed.
You guys are the best.
Thanks
We've turned off some Hulu customizations, so you should be able to watch the whole show now. Unfortunately, we had to turn off the auto-fullscreen and remote control functionality for now. Hopefully we'll be able to re-enable that soon!
Hi I received the same time out after watching any where between 16 to 22 minutes of the 1st epsode of 1 Adam 12 from HULU. The system that came up with the clear browser history or cache error was on a Vista Home premuim system with 2 gb memory. I was able to watch the full episode with no errors on a windows XP Home pc. I then went back to the Vista system and used the fire fox version of ZINC and no error. The error was only on ZINC pc application on Vista. I have Vista on a laptop and want to use that pc because its easy to hook up on a TV.
P.S> I have a Samsung with Yahoo widgets - is ther any word when the samsung yahoo widget will be ready that is my goal.
I am getting this message now as well... ???
This is coming up repeatedly, now. First, once when watching the latest episode of "V", then every 5-10 minutes while trying to watch a two-part episode of "Sanctuary".
I closed Zinc each time, but nothing works. Have all the latest software/updates.
Is this fixable?
We are working on another fix and hope to have it out shortly. Thank you for your patience.
I encourage you to do your own research regarding Hulu content and third party players.
This problem is back again. I have had America's Got Talent stopping for no reason on Hulu. Its done it on several episodes now. Any idea of a fix? I have tried rebooting the computer but it still happens.
Yeah, I'm having the same trouble with multiple Hulu shows. It started yesterday and continues today.
This problem has resurfaced. The message says that the video is not available on my platform. It sounds like Hulu is attempting to block Zinc now.
Same error. So frustrating. "Unfortunatly, this video is not available on your platform." Happens frequently, multiple times during the same show on different shows seems random. Hate HULU, why can't anyone else provide aired shows. Seems like a no brainer. Extra opportunities for Advertizing by re-airing shows missed during live broadcasting. Hmm, maybe I will just start my own site, call it The Tech Guy-Rewind-. If I did would Zinc.TV include it in their app?
Yes this is happening to me as well on the show Chuck. It happens intermittantly throughout the show. Any fixes on this yet? Thanks
Same here
What Operating System are you using?
I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, why should that matter? This runs in a Browser right? If it is web based it should not matter...
But I could be wrong, what is your line of thinking with finding out what OS? Is there something that would cause this in certain Operating Systems? If so which ones?
I got the message about 15 minutes into an Outer Limits episode last night. Is Zinc working on a fix?
The reason I was asking about the OS is that i'm using Windows 7 32bit and haven't had any issues.
We also have NBC and USA tiles if you are having problems with hulu shows....
