Skip intro. animation?

Is it possible to skip the intro. animation keep it from running/playing?

No - I assume you are referring to the brief animation that shows the Zinc logo. If you are referring to the itnroduction video - that may be an other issue. You should only see the video when you install or upgrade.

You can, however, turn off the sound in settings, if that's what's annoying you.

The sound is a bit annoying, but I'm also looking for a snappier response when loading Zinc, the animation adds additional time.

I'm able to do this in Media Center, which is a nice to have.

You're talking about turning off th sounds right?
Click on the Guide icon (the last one) then Settings> System> Uncheck Play Sounds in Zinc.
