I first tried to install zinc.tv as an add-on to Firefox 3.5.6, but the installation hung. Then, when I tried to install the stand-alone version it says there is another version of zinc which has to be uninstalled manually. Has zinc messed with my registry?

Try un-installing it by opening Firefox> Tools> Add-ons> look for Zinc then hit 'Unistall'.

Did you ever install ZvManager? It has a version of Zinc embedded in it. Why not just let it uninstall?

I have installed the ZVManager as well as a previous version of Zinc. After uninstalling the ZV itself and all the assocaiated software i have run into the same issue. Any suggestions. My set worked great for about a year now. It wasnt until the upgrade to beta5 downloaded that i started having issues. Now im stuck without the use of Zinc. Any help would be appreciated.

Im using Windows XP professional version 2002 with Service pack 3. 2.8GHz chip with 3.5gig of ram

Problem solved. I uninstalled again and simply reinstalled the Zinc software from the ZvManager. It downloaded beta5 automatically and it works great. Thanks for the insparation there Jeremy never would have thought to go to the ZvManger without your comment.
