Crashes ...always crashes
I've installed and re-installed, installed the Firefox plug in AND the version for my Vista.....my driver-update tells me nothing , but everything else is working well.
I am a luddite. I use hulu, crackle, and thought this might be a good tool for finding and coordinating my online viewing.
My account is created, the Zinc icon's are on my desktop and toolbar, but each time I click on them, zinc sends me a message that it has crashed. OR when clicking on the tool bar icon, Firefox crashes.
Suggestions before i give up?
:)
Thanks for the suggestion. As soon as I figure out how to determine if all the extensions are installed, and where to find a log file, and how to send a copy (hopefully it is cut and paste) , I will.
I'm not trying to be difficult, just technologically challenged.
"1) In Zinc, press the F11 key to go into windowed mode"
I cannot get into Zinc. Just clicking on the icons causes a crash.

Hi Mike,
The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) have some good pointers
to find out whether the extensions are loaded look at:

Hi Grose,
Thanks. I did look at those before I posted, and then again when you suggested that link.
The very first thing that link starts with is " In Zinc.." which I cannot get into at all.... it crashes without opening.
When I log in , as I have to post this, I hit f11 as it instructs, and I lose my tool bar completely. That means I cannot follow the next instruction to ' select from tool bar."
I'm apparently at a Catch 22 here. Other suggestions?
I'm willing to be the canary in the coal mine.
(btw: Since I added the Firefox plug in, my Firefox sessions keep crashing. I haven't been able to figure out how to remove Zinc from the tool bar, only the desktop )
Thanks,
Mike
right click on the Zinc icon in the firefox toolbar and select customize
this will allow you to drag-n-drop from the toolbar.
Chances are you are having a firewall issue that is blocking the extensions from installing cleanly. You are likely having the same problem from both firefox and Zinc. Within Firefox you should be go to tools and look at the addons (click the extensions tab to find Zinc).

make sure you have all 4 extensions installed
