Integration with XBMC
Hi again!
Has any of the Zinc developers looked in to possible integration with XBMC? I would be nice to feel more browser less and working with another media center would not only bring the existing market share but also additional ones. I am not sure how you would achieve this, but XBMC is quiet open to further development.
Thanks
Mike
I've been using the remote for the last couple of months. And all I can say is that it works perfectly with media centers and media center type applications. At first I thought what are all these buttons for. Record, numbers, guide and some of the other buttons. But then I started using GBPVR. I thought I would have to use Eventghost to map some of it's functions. But... all of the buttons worked perfectly, no reconfiguring. The guide button brings up the TV Guide, the record button records the selected show etc..etc..
By the way. Most of the media centers allow you to launch custom programs. Even Windows 7 Media Center. I know GBPVR also gives you the option. Maybe XMBC has a way to do this also?

I justed wanted to share my opinion.
I think it is vital that Zinc branches of into a more Media Center application. Being embedded in Firefox, still makes users feel like they are using a browser. Is it because it is impossible to make some kind of XBMC extension (or Moovida (much better))? Or do you plan on making your own? Or does your Remote not work with anything else? Im just interested.
Keep up the good work
